Whit Chailland

Whitman Clark Chailland, 37, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at NMMC-Gilmore in Amory.  Whit was born on August 30, 1986 in Amory to Terry Gene Chailland, Sr. and Nancy Leach Chailland.  He was a graduate of Aberdeen High School, Class of 2004.  After graduation Whit attended ICC and earned an Electrical Degree.  He married the love of his life, Jessica Duncan on March 20, 2010.  Whit loved nothing more than being a husband to Jessica and father to his children.  He was most definitely a devoted family man and Whit's family was his pride.  He worked 10 years at Toyota Boshoku and currently he was the electrical engineer for Pregis Packaging in Tupelo.  He was a rock solid Cardinals fan and also enjoyed watching UFC Fighting.  He enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting and fishing.

Whit is survived by his wife of nearly 14 years, Jessica Chailland, Fulton; parents, Terry and Nancy Chailland, Aberdeen; daughter, Madison Chailland; sons, Blake Duncan, Russell Chailland and Marshall Chailland; brother, Gene Chailland (Rose), Gadsden, AL; mother and father in laws, Andrew and Tammy Schrock, Michael and Tammy Duncan; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Whit is preceded in death by his half brother, Terry Christopher Chailland; grandparents, Gene and Leota Chailland, Carl and Terah Leach.

Funeral Services for Whit will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Rev. James Clardy officiating.  Pallbearers will be Gene Chailland, Blake Duncan, Randy Kennedy, Keith Bishop, Matthew Little and Dustin Walton.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Tuesday from 5 PM until 6:45 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Aberdeen First Baptist Church.
