Tricia Darty

Tricia West Darty, 63, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at her home in Aberdeen. She was born on January 31, 1958 in Aberdeen to Otho Wren and Edna McKay West. She graduated from Aberdeen High School class of 1976 and she was married to Larry Darty. For many years she worked for the U.S. government. Tricia was passionate about the American Legion and she was President of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed shopping and always looked forward to a beach vacation. An avid Mississippi State fan, she also loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Aberdeen.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Tisdale-Lann Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Wayne Darty officiating. Visitation will be from 2 until service time.

In addition to her husband, Larry Darty, she is survived by one son, Jason Nash of Mobile, AL; one daughter, Kelly Nash of Amory; two sisters, Cathy Smith (Jim) of New Hope, AL and Melissa Kelly (Matt) of Tupelo; 4 grandchildren, Aurora and Layla Nash; and Bella Wren Nash and Cayson Nash Johnson; her mother-in-law, Janie Darty; sister-in-law, Debra Young; brothers-in-law, Ray Darty and Wayne Darty; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and father-in-law, Kermit Darty.

Memorials may be made to the Aberdeen First Christian Church Concern for Others and to the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
