Thurston Lee Short, Jr.

Thurston Lee Short, Jr., age 91, died Friday, July 31, 2020, at the Monroe County Hospital in Aberdeen, MS. He was born November 23, 1928, in Monroe County to Earnest Thurston Short and Era Easter Short. He was a life long resident of Monroe County. Mr. Short was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He retired from the Air Force. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton, MS. There will be a Private Family Service at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Center Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in Center Hill Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Ludie Honeycutt Short of Hamilton, MS.; one son Jerry Wayne Short (Rose) of PA.; one stepdaughter Belinda Craven (Wayne) of Hamilton, MS; six grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
