Aberdeen- Thomas Randle "Randy" Anderson, 71, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at his residence in Aberdeen. He was born in Pontotoc County on March 19, 1952 to parents Thomas Troy Anderson and Robbie Nell (Stacy) Anderson Johnson. He was a lifelong resident of Monroe County. He was a retired butcher and meat department manager at Big Star in Aberdeen. He attended Tranquill Methodist Church in Wren. Randy enjoyed working in his yard, his garden and he dearly loved his dogs.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Brown) Anderson of Aberdeen; one son, Scott Anderson of Blue Springs; one daughter, Renee George of Pontotoc; six grandchildren, Paige Bates (Jonathan), Kristin Cox (Damon), Michael Anderson all of Blue Springs; Kurt Howell, Keely Underwood (Shay), John Kyle George, six great grandchildren, Kyla, Isaiah, Kylyn, Sky, Asher, Jackson, two step-sisters, Reda Bird (Mike), Brenda Baty (Richard), one step sister in law Dianne Munn, a host of nieces , nephews , cousins and a special niece Lindsey Cox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Barbara Gail Rennels, one daughter in law, Karen Anderson, one step mother Lois Anderson, one niece, Stacy Nicole Cox, one great nephew, Aubrey Cox, one step brother, Larry Munn, one step sister, Diane Webb .
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Dr. Ray Rooney, Jr officiating.
Visitation will be before service time from 10:00- 11:00 am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers you may give to the charity of your choice.
