Stanley Moffett

Stanley Wilson Moffett, 68, passed away on December 7, 2022 at Care Center of Aberdeen.   Stanley was born on January 7, 1954 in Aberdeen to the late RB and Sarah Wilson Moffett.  Stanley was a 1972 graduate of Aberdeen High School and married the former Billie Harrington on November 14, 1970.  From a young age, Stanley had a love for automobiles.  This led to not only a hobby but a longtime career as a parts man in the area car dealerships.  He retired from Clark Ford in Amory as the parts manager.  Stanley was a fan of any car show that came on TV and also loved to watch Dale Earnhart race on Sunday’s.  Stanley was also a longtime member of the Aberdeen Antique and Classic Car Club and enjoyed his red and white 1956 Chevy.  He enjoyed going to Crusin the Coast.  Stanley was a dog lover and shared a special bond with his pets.  Above all, he loved his family and God.  He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Billie Harrington Moffett, Hamilton; son, Stan Moffett, Hamilton; sisters, Julia Moffett, Olive Branch, Nancy Moffett Timmons, Olive Branch and Peggy Weatherington (Jimmy), Franklin, TN; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Donald Dahlem, Jimmy Clark and Gee Crawford.  A special thank you is sent to the staff of the Care Center of Aberdeen for their love and care they had for Stanley and Billie.

Stanley is preceded in death by his mother and father.

A memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday December 17 at Center Hill Baptist Church in Hamilton with Bro. Terry Edwards and Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating.  The members of the Aberdeen Antique and Classic Car Club will be honorary pallbearers.
