Shirley Ann Patterson Nicholson

Shirley Ann Patterson Nicholson, 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Baldwyn Nursing Facility in Baldwyn after an extended illness. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Attalla, AL to Eugene and Bertie Mae Moon Patterson. After graduating from Attalla, AL High School, she then moved to Maryland. She was a statistician typist at Price Waterhouse Accounting Firm in Washington, D.C.. Ann then resided in Nettleton since 1975 to work as a traffic manager at Rockwell in Tupelo before retiring.She attended Jones Chapel Baptist Church in Nettleton. Ann loved horses, working in her yard, her precious pets and supported St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is survived by three daughters, Teri Young (Terry) and Becki Nicholson, all of Nettleton, Rita Nicholson of Bradenton, FL: nine grandchildren, Wade Shive, Taylor Shive, Heather Lavigne (Jimmy), John Holley, Cera Bates (Roy), Chantry Holley, Caite Gregory (Austin), Anna Beth Hendrix (Wesley), Madison Holley; fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; three brothers. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
