Samuel (Sammy) M. Pettigrew

Plantersville-Samuel (Sammy) M. Pettigrew, 55, passed away on October 14, 2021 in Blue Springs, MS. Sammy was born on August 19, 1966 in Lee County to parents Charles Pettigrew and Adelene (Bacon) Pettigrew. He was a lifelong resident of the Union Community. He worked for the Toyota Manufacturing Company in Blue Springs, MS. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his yard and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Nettleton, MS on October 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Tommy Ray Dabbs and Kevin Layton officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Lee County.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Pettigrew of Plantersville; daughter Alicia Pettigrew Adams (Trey), daughter, Carley Amason (Cole), son, Ethan Pettigrew, three grandchildren, Kalyn Adams, Aiden Adams, Josiah Adams, sister, Karen Peters and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Steve and Tony Pettigrew.

Pallbearers will be Aiden Adams, Josiah Adams, Trey Adams, Kevin Layton, David Smith, and Brad Allen.

There will be no public visitation.
