Hamilton- Ruby Ann Boyd Baty, 90, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at her residence in Hamilton surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 19, 1933 in Livingston, AL to parents Phillip Marshall Boyd and Ruth Lavender Boyd.  She was married to the late Thomas Harold Baty, they wed on November 1, 1952. She was a retired educator with the Aberdeen Elementary School District. During her marriage she and her husband traveled extensively. She always did the driving and never needed a map. They also enjoyed square dancing and camping. All her grandchildren loved spending time with her. Some remembered crafting with her while others recalled playing cards. She was very competitive and never helped you out, she was in for the win. She was the most gentle, calmest, sincere and loving person except when you interrupted her TV show Wheel of Fortune. Nothing upset her, her favorite saying was "it's all in God's hands". She loved tradition especially fixing sausage rolls at Christmas for everyone in the family. She remembered all her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren for their birthday and Christmas.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 11:00-12:45 pm at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 14, 2024  at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Zachary Carter officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Garden. 

She is survived by two sisters, Jackie Moore, Mary McGaha, one brother, Herbert Boyd (Emily), children, Richard Baty (Brenda) of Hamilton, MS; Terri Collums of Jackson, MS; Deb Ward (Roger) of Smithville; Pam Welch (Dewayne) of Hamilton; grandchildren Shane Baty (Laura), Chad Baty, Josh Baty (Katie), Farrah Newman (Troy), Trent Ward (Mandi), Mandy Hadaway (T.J.) Anthony Welch (Amy), Jason Welch (Erin), Courtney Bennett (Jarriott) great grandchildren- Allen Baty (Anna), Abby Young (Toby), John Evan Baty, Matthew Walker (Nichole), Austin Walker (Sheadon), Emma Walker, Isabel Baty, Coralaine Baty, Lillian Baty, Anderson Baty, Baty Newman, Will Newman, Nick Newman, Lynlee Newman, Ryan Ward, Chloe Ward, Payton Ward, Haley Brooke Hadaway, Ashlyn Hadaway, Zach Welch, Seth Welch, Asher Welch, Tanner Brewer, Brooklyn Bennett, Jack Bennett, Charlie Bennett, Hazel Bennett and great great grandchildren Ivy Baty, Decker Baty, Colt Young and Collson Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Pallbearers will be Josh Baty, Shane Baty, Chad Baty, Allen Baty, Trent Ward, Jason Welch, Will Newman, and Baty Newman.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Evan Baty, Anthony Welch, T. J. Hadaway, Ryan Ward, Seth Welch, Asher Welch, Tanner Brewer and Nick Newman.

She was very much loved and will be missed so much.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
