Roy Gillentine

Roy Allen Gillentine, 54, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1968 to James Roy and Beth Gillentine. He lived most of his life in Okolona, but had resided in Plantersville the last several years. Roy enjoyed spending time with the people closest to him and his dog. He also loved to grill and cook for his friends and family.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday November 15, 2023 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial in Nettelton with Bro. Rickey Pierce officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. 

Roy is survived by his sons; Jacob Gillentine, Login Gillentine (Kristen), Josh Gillentine, Leighton Gillentine, daughter; Kara Beth Russell (Chase); father, James Roy Gillentine; grandchildren, Addy Gillentine, Waylon Gillentine, Lynnox Russel, and an expected grandchild; brother, Joel Gillentine (Jessica); sisters, Angie Burroughs (Mark) and Scarlett Gillentine. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Beth Gillentine, and a brother, Tommy Gillentine. 

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday from noon until service time.
