Richard White

Richard Hardin White, 71, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle in Columbus.  Richard was born on December 26, 1950 in Brownsville, Texas to the late Howard Hardin White and Edna Ludell Patterson White. Richard’s family moved back to Mississippi in 1960.  He attended Hamilton School and married Melissa Funderburk in 1989.  Richard worked 22 years for Apac as a machine operator. He enjoyed being outdoors working on his property and riding his horse.  He enjoyed all of his friends and family stopping by for a good visit.  Richard was a hard worker and loved to give good, sound advice.  He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Melissa Funderburk White, Caledonia; son, Richard White (Kelly), Alabama; daughters, Nancy Davis and Misty White of Michigan, Brianna White, Elizabeth White and Katiemae White, all of Caledonia; sisters, Edna McWhirter (John), Hamilton and Alice Worthey (Lavon) of Nettleton; brothers, Hugh White, Caledonia, Rayburn White, Florida and Dale White (Renee), Caledonia; grandchildren, Jason, Kyle, Brynlee and Alexis White; special niece, Emma Welch; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his brothers, William White, John White and Don White; sister, Elsie Chandler. 

Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2022 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Joe Camp officiating.  Burial will follow in the White Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Corey White, Richard White, Dale White, Marshall White, Alan Welch, Charles Baggett, Austin Funderburk, Ken Funderburk and J.R. Funderburk.  Honorary pallbearers will be John Connor, Timothy Funderburk, Jason White, Kyle White and Hugh Mervin White.

Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 PM until 1:45 PM.
