Richard Marion Murry

Nettleton-Richard M. Murry, 85, stepped into Eternity on September 29, 2024 at NMMC-Tupelo. He was born on October 14, 1938 to Thomas Murry and Irene Hunter Murry in Union County. "Pop," as he was affectionately called by kids, grandkids, and the ones that loved him, was the owner of Wheel City for over 30 years. Pop was a car enthusiast, loved buying cars, loved selling cars and watching car auctions. He also loved westerns and Elvis. But more than these, Pop loved Jesus and his family. He would quickly tell you he was greatly blessed. He enjoyed reading his Bible and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He married Nan Griffin of Nettleton on May 18, 1985. Pop was a long time member of CrossPointe Fellowship Church  in Nettleton.

Funeral Services will be at 2 pm  on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at CrossPointe Fellowship Church in Nettleton with Bro. Tommy Ray Dabbs and Bro. Brion Dowden officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation will be prior to service time from 12:30-2:00 pm at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Nan Murry, one sister,  Linda, six children, Marty Murry (Becky) of Ripley; Mike Murry, Beth Coggin (Tommy), Paula Chester (Alan), Barry Young (Brenda), Cathy Ferguson, grandchildren, Jessica Gillentine (Joey), Tara Wiles, Jade Hester (Shane), Kayla Dowden (Brion), Chelsea Wiles, Gabby Coggin, Millie Sprayberry (Colby), Jensine Coggin, Danny Wigginton Jr.  (Amanda), Steven Murry (Joy), Cortney Wallace, Ashton Murry, Shantay Bates (Brian), Jenny Edwards (Paul), Kristy Greer (Kirk), Miranda Ferguson , Angela McKay (Leif), great grandchildren, Trae Lowry (Katelyn), Sarah Flurry (Austin), Katie Burroughs (Blade), Will Lowry, Dianna Baggett (Hunter),Logan Hester, Abigail Hester, Austin Sprayberry, Sami Manning, Zoey Manning, Marcus Wigginton, Logan Wigginton, Karleigh Wigginton, Kyler Wigginton, Eric Murry, Grant Murry, Ellie Fabre, Dylan Murry, Shea Murry, Landon Castillo, Alana Castillo, Kade Cotner, Ryder Wallace, Aubrie Layne Bates, Brayden Bates, Ellah Edwards,  Savannah Greer, Izabella Greer  Raynee Robbins, Bayleigh Robbins, Trent Robbins, Hudson McKay, Hayes McKay, great great grandchildren, Paxton and Cora Lowry, Stella Flurry, Bodie Burroughs, Stetson Baggett and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, and his special secretary turned friend, Staci.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his  sisters Margie and Frances.

Pallbearers will be Trae Lowry, Will Lowry, Steven Murry, Danny Wigginton Jr., Logan Wigginton, and Colby Sprayberry.
