Rebecca Watson McClure

August 9, 1951 — October 28, 2024

Bellevue, WA

BELLEVUE, WA – Rebecca Watson McClure, 73, passed away Monday, October 28th at her residence in Bellevue, WA. She was born August. 9, 1951, to Lee Dale Watson and Laura Jackson Watson in Aberdeen, MS. Becky graduated from Aberdeen High School and Mississippi State University. She earned advanced degrees in mathematics and computer science at Millsaps College and the University of Mississippi. She began her career at Price Waterhouse and later went to work for one of her clients, Superior Oil Company in Houston, Texas. Following a series of mergers, Superior ultimately became part of ExxonMobil and Becky learned a lot about the world of oil and gas as well as surviving mergers. Seeking a change of scenery and some cooler temps, Becky ventured to Seattle, Washington in 1998 and worked for United Healthcare until retiring in 2018.

Becky attended Westminster Chapel Church in Bellevue and enjoyed fellowship there and at Bible studies with her church family and friends. She was a regular volunteer at Jubilee Reach in Bellevue and drew encouragement from helping Jubilee help others. She loved trips to the beach and warmer climates with friends and family and had great memories of those times. She loved the ocean like her mother. Family was always important to Becky and she would get back to Mississippi on occasion to visit aunts, uncles, cousins, her brother, and grand-nephews. She was loved and will be so dearly missed.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen with Bro. Steve Jackson officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen will be in charge of the services.

Survivors include her brother, David Lee Watson (Bess) of Ridgeland, MS and their children, Morgan Lloyd of San Diego, CA, William Lloyd (Maddy) of Ridgeland, MS and grand-nephews Will and Robert Lloyd as well as many dear cousins.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents Laura Jackson Watson and Lee Dale Watson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jubilee Reach in Bellevue, WA, Westminster Chapel Church in Bellevue, WA, and First Christian Church of Aberdeen, MS.
