Peggy Jo Lakey

Nettleton- Peggy Jo (Nicholson) Lakey, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Diversicare of Amory. She was born in Nettleton on September 15, 1935 to parents Wallace Nicholson and Gertrude (Holcomb) Nicholson . She was a longtime resident of Nettleton. She was a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Amory. Peggy was an avid  lover of Gospel music and encouraged others to be as well. She loved her church and took pride in working in it.  She was a firm believer in helping  others in their time of need.

She is survived by one daughter, Cindy Brown (Keith), one son, Eddie McDivitt, one sister, Lorene Schorr and one granddaughter Erin Schultz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Milton Lakey, one grandson, Brad Eric Brown and one brother, Wallace C. Nicholson.
