Olynn Arthur Gorbutt, 60, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Holly, Michigan on June 5, 1961 to the late Lee Roy Gorbutt and Dorothy Layman Lackie. In his 20's, Olynn moved to Orlando, Florida to begin a long time career as a commercial painter. He successfully owned and operated Classic Colors Painting for 30 years. He later moved back to Aberdeen for retirement. He enjoyed Camping and RV ing with his wife, Sharon. He also enjoyed piddling around on his place and in his shop. He was an excellent cook and love4d to prepare a meal for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Roebuck Gorbutt, Aberdeen; daughter, Christy Markel (Kyle), Orlando; son Robert Roebuck, Smithville; sisters, Sondra Zsigo (Frank), FL and Amy Lackie, MI; brothers, William Lackie II, FL and Brian Lackie, FL; grandchildren, Carolynn, Claire and Ryder Markel; Step father, William Lackie, FL; step mother, Mary Gorbutt, Amory; step sister, Angel Carter, Amory; step brother, Danny Morris, Jr. (Mia), Aberdeen; special friends, Jackie Gorbutt, Aberdeen, Kevin Reeves, FL, and Paul Lettau, FL; a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies Scarlett and Charlie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Dianna Hart; brother, Olynn Lee Gorbutt; grandparents, Helen and Charles Layman, Alvina and Lee Gorbutt, Sr.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Dempsey Rowland and Bro. John Parker officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5-8 PM.
