Odell Seymore

Odell Seymore, 90, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at his home.  A life-long resident of Monroe County, he was born on March 2, 1933 to Riley and Jesse Shackelford Seymore.  Mr. Seymore was retired from Monroe County as a truck driver after 27 years.  He enjoyed hunting and watching old westerns on TV. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Nettleton.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Tisdale-Lann Funeral Home in Nettleton with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery.

He is survived by two daughters, Lois Lockhart and Patricia Seymore; two sons, Jimmy Seymore (Barbara) and Danny Seymore (Sharon); 9 grandchildren, Daniel Seymore, Ricky Seymore, Dale Seymore, Luke Seymore, Christina Seymore, Samantha Cable, Michael Hill, Jeffrey Hill, Jessica Seymore; 10 great grandchildren; 4 stepchildren, Brenda Pannell, Kathy Robinson, Eleanor Smith, and Gerald Holcomb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Glenda; and his second wife, Louise; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Seymore, Dale Seymore, Ricky Seymore, Luke Seymore, Jeffrey Hill, Michael Hill, Sammy Seymore, and Jamie Seymore.

Visitation will be on Monday from noon until the service hour.
