Nancy Senter Williams

Aberdeen- Nancy Louise (Senter) Williams, 86, passed away on September 3, 2023 at NMMC-Gilmore in Amory.  She was born on September 20, 1936 in Fulton, MS to parents Lyonel Thomas Senter, Sr and Eva Lee Jetton Senter.  She married Archie Eugene “Gene” Williams in 1953. In  her early years she was told she would never have children, but the Lord had other plans and gave her 5 children. Her greatest joy was raising her children. Nancy had a love for animals, she enjoyed showing horses (Wilson was her favorite TN Walking horse) and showing dogs. She was a former AKC president she groomed, boarded and raised show dogs. Civic minded, she founded the Aberdeen Youth Club. A go-getter she even started the first flea market in Aberdeen. She owned Expressions Consignment Shop. While in the nursing home she would go from room to room reading the Bible to shut ins. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Amory and also taught Sunday School.

She is survived by her sons, Allan R. Williams (Pam) of Valdosta, GA; John M. Williams (Sharon) of Hamilton, MS; Thomas E. Williams (Samantha) of Aberdeen, MS; Burt Williams (Julie) of Panacea, Fl; and daughter Shirle’ Williams Bruce of Columbus, MS; grandchildren, Dustin Bruce (Dana), Archie B. Williams Jr. (Brandy), Matt Williams (Veronika), Allan Williams Jr., Don Williams, Nick Williams, Amber W Pugh (Ian), Tyler E Williams, Taylor D. Williams (Maggie), several great grandchildren and one sister Eva Lee Henley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Archie Eugene Williams; brother Lyonel Thomas Senter, Jr.

A Graveside service will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 11:00 am at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen with Minister Tim Wilson officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen will be in charge of arrangements. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be before service on Wednesday from 10:00-10:45 am at the funeral home.
