Nancy McCollum

Nancy Ann McCollum, 69, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born in Lee County on February 3, 1955, she was a daughter to John and Catherine Humphries McCollum, and she was a graduate of Nettleton High School. Her career was spent in environmental services for hotels in Tupelo, but her greatest joy was caring for her dog that was also her best friend and companion, Abby and prior to her, it was Rascal. Although she had no children of her own, her nieces, great nieces and nephew were her pride and joy.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Nettleton chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Sammy Raper officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

She is survived by her two nieces, Lisa Schumpert (Larry) and Kimberly Reffel (Jack); great nephew, Ryan Reffel; and great nieces, Lauren Reffel and Anna Schumpert.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Fair, Katherine Sue Gilmore, and brother, Johnny McCollum.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Barnes, Logan Barnes, Sammy Ray, and Larry Schumpert.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour.
