Myra Jo Imel

Myra Jo Boyd Imel, 65, passed away at her residence on Monday, December 30, 2025.  She was born August 20, 1959 in Aberdeen to the late James Joseph Boyd and Fae Annie Neal Boyd.  Myra attended Hamilton School and married Glen Imel on October 19, 1979.  She was proud of her family and devoted her life to being a homemaker for her husband and children.  Myra found that her life was totally complete when she had her husband, children and grandchildren under the same roof.  She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.

Myra is survived by her husband of 45 years, Glen Imel, Hamilton; daughters, Elizabeth "Liza" Motes (Jonathon), Hamilton and Norma Imel, Hamilton; grandchildren, Carly Imel, Abby Motes (Brandon Hall), Holli Sellers, Lexi Whitworth (Christian Ybarra); a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Myra is preceded in death by her sister, Robbie Faye Cantrell; brother, James Everette "Jimmy" Boyd; father in law, Jerry Lee Imel, Sr.; grandson, Christopher Imel.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2024 at Hamilton Presbyterian Church.
