Mike Pennington

David Michel Pennington, 64, died on Friday, June 28, 2024 in Lee County as the result of an automobile accident. He was born on November 5, 1959 in Monroe County to Charles Overton “Dick” and Margie Faye Young Pennington. A life-long resident of Nettleton, Mike was a retired truck driver. His hobbies included yard work, watching Ole Miss sports and he loved his dog, Gotti, very much. He was of the Baptist faith.

 A Celebration of Life service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Eugene Conwill officiating. Interment will be in Wiygul Cemetery.

 He is survived by 5 daughters, Cynthea Holland (Brian), April Pennington (Allen Smith), Amber Pennington, and Autumn Pennington (Micky Walton), and Ashley Lee Lann (Patrick); 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Ann Miller; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

 He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Charles Larry Pennington and Bobby Pennington.

 Pallbearers will be Joshua Parker, Kevin Whitaker, Donnie Barnes, Rodney Lynk, Austin Holland, and Reid Johnson.

 Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
