Mary Elizabeth Kennedy

Nettleton- Mary Elizabeth (Langley) Kennedy, 85, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in New Albany, MS. She was born on September 30, 1939 in Lee County, MS to parents Charlie Langley and Alice Gertrude (Garrett) Langley. She lived most of her life in the Nettleton area. She attended Nettleton First Baptist Church. She had worked as a secretary in the furniture industry. She was a hard worker and a very dedicated mother to her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, doing word search puzzles and a good cup of coffee.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11 am at Nettleton First Baptist Church with Rev. Bradley Geno officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 25 from 5-7 pm and on Wednesday prior to service at the church from 10-11 am.

She is survived by two sons, Chris Kennedy (Marta Lucia), Steve Kennedy (Mary), two daughters, Carol Edwards (Greg), Shawna Brown (Jim), 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Floyd Harris Kennedy, her siblings; Allen Langley, Minnie Jane Wilson, Jim Langley, Charlene Foster, and Murl Langley.

Pallbearers will be Dakota Edwards, Drew Edwards, Marty Langley, Charles Langley, Chad Oliver and Trent Richard.
