Martha Kyle

Martha Jo Thompson Kyle, 55, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 at NMMC- Gilmore in Amory. She was born January 8, 1966 in Aberdeen to the late William Quinton and Alice Margaret Mann Thompson. She attended Amory Schools and worked for a number of years as a seamstress in the area furniture industry. Martha Jo loved to have fun, especially with her family and dearly loved to laugh. She was of the Baptist faith and truly loved God and was also a gifted pianist and organist playing by ear. Martha Jo’s family was her pride of life and she loved every moment spent with them.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Lauren Ruth, Columbus and Lesley Kyle, Verona; sister, Barbara T. McGhee (Billy), Aberdeen; brother, Billy Thompson (Kathi), Wren; grandchildren, Zoe Kyle, Gabriel Ruth and Darren Presley; niece, Mandi Price (Justin), Amory; nephew, Brent Thompson, Wren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a nephew, Jamie Halfacre.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Fowlkes officiating. Burial will follow in Coontail Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jimmy McGhee, Gary Taylor, Gary Cleve Taylor, John Springer, Mark Thurston and Billy Thompson.

Visitation will be on Monday from 1 PM until 1:45 PM.
