Bartahatchie- Margie Griggs,91, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024 at the NMMC in Tupelo. She was born in Bartahatchie on November 29, 1932 to parents Rufus Woods and Irene Mattison Woods. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Columbus. She retired from Seminole Garment Plant. She loved and adored her great-grandchildren as she often referred to them as her sunshine's one, two, three and four. She loved traveling to visit her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a spunk for life and loved Kristie driving in fast cars with the t-tops out. Her hobbies included word search, sewing and gardening. She loved family and the the time spent with them. She was very kind and giving, would give anyone anything. She fried the best chicken ever and made the best biscuits with chocolate gravy. She will be missed more than she could have ever imagined.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen with Lynn Galloway officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 10, 2024 from 5-7 pm at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.

She is survived by one son, Eric Griggs of Hamilton; three daughters, Deb Galloway (Lynn) of Amory; Sharon Barnett (Freddie) of Okolona; Sandra Armstrong (Richard) of Becker; brother, Grafton Woods of Amory; grandchildren, Jason Barnett (Mallory), Chris Barnett, Kirk Luker, Kristie Granata, Aleigha Colvin, Jordan Griggs, Parker Griggs, Addison Griggs, Crystal Jones, Cherie Burrus, Micheal Gunter, Angie Turner, great -grandchildren, a host of nieces & nephews and a special friend, Jo Pearson.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary "Lois" Kitrell, granddaughter, Kimberly Turner, sisters, Dora Rye, Pauline Woods, brothers, Tom, George and Leon Woods.

Pallbearers will be Jason Barnett, Chris Barnett, Kirk Luker, Skyler Luker,  Charlie Granata and Tyler Duncan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Colvin and Zach Jones.
