Lucille Atkins West

September 11, 1918 — July 24, 2018

Lucille Atkins West , 99, passed away on July 24, 2018, at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen. She was a life long resident of Monroe County where she was a graduate of Greenwood Springs School and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing and worked in the garment industry. She loved to watch her great grandson play baseball at Ole Miss.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha West Cole of Aberdeen, MS, and Ann West York of Aberdeen, MS; three grand daughters, Melynda Cole (Manny) of Frisco, TX, Sondra Golsan (Tommy) of Columbus, MS, and Ronda Riley (Dee) of Aberdeen, MS; four great grandchildren, Hayley Tanous, Will Golsan, Kody Riley, and Kori Franks; a number of nieces and nehews; special care giver, Betty Davidson. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cladie Albert West; five brothers, John, James, Gayle, Sam Grady, and Bobby Lloyd Atkins; three sisters, Christine Randle, Betty Jones, and Hazel Dahlem; two son-in-laws, Morris Cole, and Charles York. Pallbearers are Sammie Atkins, Donald Dahlem, Tommy Golsan, Dee Riley, Kody Riley, Manny Fuentes, Vincent Franks, and Kevin Tanous. Honorary pallbearers are Men of St. Mark United Methodist Church, William Dean Atkins, Pete Randle, Clayton Jones, Andrew Allen, Kevin Atkins, and Glen Atkins.
