Louise Rowell

Mary Louise Nash Rowell, 96, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023 in Aberdeen.  She was born on April 21, 1927 in Aberdeen to the late Jesse James Nash and Irene Guest Nash.  Louise attended Aberdeen School and married Dow B. Rowell on December 7, 1946.  She worked in the area garment industry and retired as a supervisor from Sharp Garment.  Louise enjoyed fishing, dancing, reading, working word search puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune and Gunsmoke.  She was absolutely devoted to her family and nothing brought her more joy than cooking a large family meal with everyone around the table.  Louise especially loved all of the smaller kids in her family.  She was also a charter member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Aberdeen VFW Post 4409.  She attended Tranquil Methodist Church.

Louise is survived by her daughters, Pat Little (Raymond), Aberdeen and Peggy Rowell of Carrolton, AL; son, Charlie Rowell (Frieda) of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Frankie Little (Mona), Melissa Little Belue (Jerry), Chuck Little (Cynthia), Beverly Wilson (Willie), Nicholas Rowell, Michael Bridges and Karli Snoddy (Luke); 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; special niece, Cindy Forrester and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends; special caregiver, Rosie Walker.  Louise's family would also like to extend a special thanks to the Legacy Hospice family.

In addition to her parents and husband, Louise is preceded in death by her sisters, Doreen Gurthie (Jimmy) and Jessie Mae Nash; brother, Robert Nash (Hazel); special friend and sister in law, Geraldine Rowell.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Fowlkes and Bro. Chuck Moffett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Coontail Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Belue, Chuck Little, Luke Wilson, Willie Wilson, Phillip Rowell, and Frankie Little.  Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Little, Samuel Snoddy and William Rowell.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday fron noon until 1:45 PM.
