Linda Rachel (Tartt) Johnson

Amory- Linda Rachel (Tartt) Johnson, 71, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on March 29, 1951 in Tupelo, MS to parents James Tartt, Sr., and Myrtis (McClendon) Tartt. She attended Nettleton High School. She married Gerald Johnson on June 4, 1966. She worked hard her whole life in the furniture and garment industry. She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church where she attended most of her life. She enjoyed reading her Bible, a variety of novels, watching and listening to the Celtic Women.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and especially the great grandchildren. She also loved her little four-legged companion Abby and big companion Hunter.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Jones Chapel Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Bro. Wes Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by three daughters, Kim Outlaw (Lee) of Baldwyn; Becky Reeves (Mike) of Smithville; Kay Baty of Amory; one son, Steve Johnson (Cathy) of Shannon; two brothers, Jim Tartt, Jr., "Tarbaby" of Bigbee; Terry Tartt (Wendy) of Tupelo; grandchildren, Wesley Hendrix (Anna Beth), Kacie Bailey (Adam), Hallie Carter (Landon), Hannah Reeves, Cody Johnson, Kayla Young, John Evan Baty, great grandchildren, Harper Hendrix, Hunter Alan Hendrix, Holley Anna Hendrix, Jackson Carter, Evie Carter and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers, Rex and Billy Tartt.

Pallbearers will be Wesley Hendrix, Adam Bailey, John Evan Baty, Michael Reeves, Lee Outlaw, and Landon Carter.

Visitation will be on Thursday at the church before service time from 12:00-2:00 pm.
