Kenneth Wayne Thompson, 67, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus.  Kenneth was born on October 20, 1957 on the Ramey Air Force Base in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Julian and Edna Mae Touchton Thompson.  He was a graduate of Seminary High School in Seminary, MS where he earned several achievements.  At 17 years old, Kenneth sustained injuries that left him bound to a wheel chair the rest of his life.  He set out to prove that his disabilities did not define his life.  He was loved by all that met him.  Being the son of a Baptist minister, Kenneth grew up in church and was taught the importance of having a relationship with God.  He was a member of Hamilton Baptist Church and cherished each opportunity to worship with the congregation and loved all of the members.  He also enjoyed being an uncle, great uncle and great great uncle and enjoyed time with each of his nieces and nephews.  He enjoyed playing Yahtzee and watching the older TV shows, especially Big Valley.

Kenneth is survived by his sisters, Jeanne Brock (Benny), Hamilton and Rose Lowery (Wayne), Petal, MS; brother, Richard Cecil Thompson, Sr. (Patty), TX; nieces and nephews, Angelia Brock, Beverly Brock, Rachel Brock, Sarah Brock, Richard Cecil Thompson, Jr. (Monica), Christine Lisanby (Eric), Veronica Thompson, Michelle Hood (J.B.), Jason Lowery (Stephanie), Jared Lowery (Kristen), Jenna McLeod (Ethan); a host of great and great great nieces and nephews.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Andrew Steven Grimm.
