Julia Savage

Julia Carol Pizzarelli Savage, 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at her home.  Born on March 3, 1940 in Lincoln, RI to Angelo and Angelina Montecalvo Pizzarelli.  She met and married Johnny Savage while he was in the Navy and later in 1966 moved back to Johnny’s home in Monroe County.  In 1976, she and Johnny established Aberdeen Janitorial Service where she served as president which is still in operation.  Julia had a green thumb and enjoyed yard work and gardening.  She was known around the community for her wonderful Italian cooking and she was of the Catholic faith.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

She is survived by one son, Mike Savage (Lisa) of Hamilton; two daughters, Brenda Owens (Robert) and Lisa Savage both of Hamilton; two sisters, Jane Pascale of Cumberland, RI and Nita Noiseux of N. Smithfield, RI; 6 grandchildren, Matthew Owens (Ashley), Ashley Blaylock (Brody), Shelby Dahlem (Ethan), Nick Owens, Camryn Moore (Tyler), and Aubrey Gilliland; 7 great grandchildren, Kately, Jensen, Kamp, Colson, Kennedy, Knox, Kollins, and baby girl due in October; close friends, James and Neva Whitehead and Ann Neely; and caregivers, Jackie Dobbs and Sharon Trimble.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Savage; sisters, Marie Rock, Pat Ruo; and brothers, Louis, Frankie and Gene Pizzarelli.

Pallbearers will be Matt Owens, Nick Owens, Brody Blaylock, Ethan Dahlem, Tyler Moore, Charles Winders, and Brian Reeves.  Honorary pallbearer will be James Whitehead.

Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
