Johnny Smith

Johnny Smith, age 89, died Friday, September 7, 2018 at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen. He was born April 14, 1929 to Howard Smith and Ruby Jernigan Smith in Okolona. He lived most of his life in Monroe County where he was a self employed farmer and a member of Aberdeen Church of Christ. He was a U. S. Army Veteran. Survivors include one son, David Smith (Beverly) of Hamilton, MS; one grandson, Jonathon Smith of Hamilton, MS; one brother, Billy Smith of Okolona, MS. Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dena Nichols Smith. Special thank you to everyone at the Monroe County Co-Op Coffee Club.
