Johnie Edward Kimble, 84, died Saturday, January 18, 2020, at the Tupelo Nursing and Rehab Center in Tupelo, MS. He was born on May 20, 1935, to Milton Kimble and Lela (Fowler) Kimble. He was a lifelong resident of the Nettleton area. He retired as a well driller. He was a member of Jones Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Mary (Billie Jean) Muse Kimble of Nettleton; one son Mike Kimble (Reba) of Tremont; two stepsons, Randell Johnson (Tammie) of Winfield, Al; Ronnie Johnson (Sharon) of Houston; one daughter; Wanda Horton (Gary) of Pontocola; two stepdaughters; Debbie Grisham (Jimmy) New Albany, Sheryl Lindsey (Anthony) of Mooreville; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews; one brother Melvin Kimble (Geneva) of Nettleton. He was preceded in death by his parents: Three brothers, one sister, one step-daughter, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be Monday at 12:00 p.m. until service time at Jones Chapel Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Kimble, Chris Hussey, Maddox Hendricks, Joey Hill, Josh Hill, and Devin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Rob McCoy and Jason Farris.
