Jodie Ott

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Jodie 'Peanut" Ott, who was taken from us too soon on December 10th, 2024 at the tender age of 26. Jodie was born June 30, 1998 in Vicksburg, MS. He grew up in Delta, LA and attended school in Tallulah, LA.  Jodie was truly a kind hearted, loving person. He could light up a room with just his smile.  Everyone within a miles radius could hear his goofy laugh that was like no other. It was always the simple things for Jodie that made him smile. He laughed at every joke, even when he was the only one laughing. When he wasn't working, he was fishing for that large mouth bass or hunting for that trophy buck. Jodie had been fishing & hunting since he was old enough to hold a fishing pole & a gun in his hands. He will forever be remembered for his silly & loud personality. The type of personality that anyone could love. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure, Jodie will be our greatest treasure. In the quiet moments, we will forever hear his laughter.

Jodie is survived by his adoptive parents, Robert and Linda Ott; biological father, David and Nikki Beckham and biological mother, Heather Hodge; siblings, Renea Wikander, Shelia Orman, Frederica Robinson, Douglas Ott, Lucas Beckham, Dillon Williams, Danny Hodges, Kenneth Hodges and Brittney Smith.

Jodie is preceded in death by his siblings, Ricky Kinsey, Frankie Ott, Vernon Beckham and Edward Beckham.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen.  Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.  Visitation will be prior to the service from noon until 1 PM.
