Joanne Carlisle

Aberdeen- Joanne Bennett Carlisle, 84, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Starkville Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Starkville, MS. She was born in Monroe County on August 25, 1939 to parents Troy Joe Bennett and Wilena Bowman Bennett. She grew up in Lackey, MS and she was a graduate of Hamilton HIgh School. She spent a great deal of her youth in Columbus, MS. She married Adam Carlisle, Jr. in 1966 and they moved to Aberdeen where she resided the last 58 years of her life. She was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church. Joanne had worked in the furniture industry and also did custom sewing and upholstry, She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her dogs.
Joanne is survived by her two grandsons, Dr. Carlisle Livingston (Erin) of Starkville, MS; Dr. Reagan Livingston of Tulsa, OK and  two great granddaughtters, Gennevie and Eleanor Livingston.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Adam Carlisle Jr., one brother, Bobby Lynn Bennett, and one son, Mitch Livingston.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Tisdale-Lann Memorrial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Rev. Mary Howard King officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service hour.
