Jenny Roberts

Jenny Lou Welch Roberts, 74, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Amory, MS.   She was born on October 15, 1948 in Hamilton, MS to Thurmon Woodrow “Buck” Welch and Myrtle Chaffin Welch.  Jenny was a homemaker taking care of her boys and she also worked as a consultant in the cosmetics industry.  She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music and she loved to sing.  Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.  She attended Fig Hill Church.  

A private memorial will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her son, Joseph D. Roberts, Jr. (Kimberly Watson Roberts) of Sturgis, SD; 9 grandchildren, Rachel Neitzel of Billings, MT, Morgan Black of Powell, WY, Jenny Joe Roberts of Pontotoc, MS, Joseph D. Roberts, III of Caledonia, MS, Madison Roberts of Caledonia, MS, Christina Roberts of Caledonia, MS, Marley Roberts of Hamilton, MS, Ainsley Steinhobel of Sturgis, SD and Ashley Cullum, IV of Amory, MS ; and three great grandchildren.  

Preceding her in death are her parents; 3 sisters, Betty Winders, Judy Hawkins, and Rita Jackson; and 2 sons, Jefferson Scott Roberts and John Lee Roberts.
