Jennifer VanHaaften

Jennifer Nicole VanHaaften, 35, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 in Pickens County, AL. Jennifer was born in Amory on July 30, 1989 in Amory to Loretta Thomas and Billy Cope. She grew up in Monroe and Lowndes counties. Her kids were her life, and she enjoyed fishing, hunting, and music.

Private funeral services will be held.

She is survived by her mother, Loretta “Kay” Thomas, Pass Christian, MS; step-father, Lewis Prestige; 3 daughters, Heaven Nicole VanHaaften, Madalyn Lane VanHaaften, Gema Reese VanHaaften, Kaitlyn Marie VanHaaften, Arianna Adams, and Hannah Oswalt; 3 sons, Eli Hollingsworth, Sean Hollingsworth, and Zachery Wade; brothers, Steven Irvin and Courtney Lowe; sister, Heather Szakel; a grandchild on the way; and 6 step grandchildren; special friends, John Oswalt and Dennis Crenshaw; nieces and nephews, Brooklyn Irvin, Nelson Irvin, Emmalyn Szakel, Laila Smith, Christian Smith, Paisley Westmoreland, Rebecca West, Natalie Westmoreland.

He was preceded in death by her husband, Christopher VanHaasten.
