WREN – James Horace Finley, 89 died Monday, March 26th at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on September 27, 1928 in Wren to Frank Finley and Nannie
Mae Ashcraft Finley. He was a lifelong resident of Wren, a graduate of Wren High School and a member of Tranquil Methodist Church in Wren. He served in the United States Army, was a switchman for the GM&O and the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad Companies and a farmer. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy J. “Dot” Finley of Wren; two sons James “Jamey” H. Finley, Jr (Trina) of Saltillo and Eddie Jason Finley of Wren; two grandchildren Hanna Hammond (Ian) of Evanston, IL. and Dallas Finley (Emily) of Springdale, AR. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Billy Finley.
Pallbearers will be Kirk Lindsey, Milton Lindsey, Dallas Finley, Jerry W. Pierce, Curt Bell and Herbert Word.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until service time, Thursday, March 29th in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.
