James T. Cain

James T. Cain, 86, passed away on December 26, 2024 at the NMMC in Tupelo.  He was born December 23, 1938 in Aberdeen, the son of Cullie M. and Lillie Lou Cain.  He was a graduate of Aberdeen High School, and also attended Itawamba Junior College and Mississippi State University.  James was a retired civilian employee of the Department of Defense and was a veteran.  He loved sports, music and animals.

James is survived by his wife of 56 years, Phyllis R. Cain; son, John Shea Cain; daughter, Dawn S. Davis (James Harold); two grandchildren, Olivia Northington (Jon-Michael) and Brady Davis; one great granddaughter, Piper Northington; one great grandson, Jon-Brantley Northington.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2 PM in the chapel of Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Rev. David Harrell officiating.  Visitation will begin prior to the service on Monday at 1 PM and continue until the service for at 2 PM.
