Hilda Honeycutt Rye, 72, died Tuesday, April 24th at Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, MS. She was born February 3, 1946 in Monroe County to Ellihue Honeycutt and Lucille White Honeycutt. She resided in Monroe County all of her life. She was a seamstress for Penthouse Furniture and a Homemaker. She was a Baptist. Services will be Friday, April 27th at 2 p.m. at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel with Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating. Burial will be at Egger Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Wayne Monroe Rye of Aberdeen, MS; one daughter Charlotte Rooks (Mike) of Amory, MS; two sons John Jackson, Jr. ( Dee Dee) of Hatley, MS and Nick Jackson of Hatley, MS; one sister Nelda Bryant (Claude) of Columbus, MS; three brothers Dale Honeycutt (Glenda) Of Aberdeen, MS, Billy Honeycutt (Peggy) of Hamilton, MS. and Sammy Honeycutt of Caledonia, Ms; and eight grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Celeste Lowe, one son Curtis Reeves and one brother Earl Honeycutt.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
