Harold Lloyd Davis, age 83, died Monday, July 30, 2018 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born August 7, 1934 to Ollie Wilford Davis and Annie Mae Godfrey Davis in Monroe County. He was a life long resident of Hamilton where he was a graduate of Hamilton High School. He attended Itawamba Junior College in Fulton. He was a charter member, deacon, and the oldest living member of Hamilton Baptist Church. He retired as supervisor from Phillips Contracting in Columbus and was working as operator at Preston Dobbs Trucking. He loved his family, his church, hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Moore Davis of Hamilton, MS; two daughters, Debbie Pittman of Aberdeen, MS, and Alice McCartney (Rusty) of Hamilton, MS; one son, James Harold Davis (Dawn) of Hamilton, MS; two step daughters, Melissa Kellum (Jim) of Caledonia, MS and Kim Cyr (Bruce) of New Hope, MS; one step son, Phillip Moore (Michelle) of Caledonia, MS; seven grandchildren, Tracy Pittman (Wendy), Cody Pittman, John Ross McCartney (Abby), Spencer McCartney, Kevin McCartney, Olivia Davis, and Brady Davis; four great grandchildren, Drake Harlow, Mac Pittman, Boston Pittman, and John Walter McCartney; five step grandchildren; one sister, Kathryn Winders of Hamilton, MS; his special pet, Sparky. He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Joyce Davis; his mother-in-law, Mary Winders Smith “Nannie”; one sister, Mattie Sue Davis; four brothers, Gene, Thearl, Fred and Bobby Davis. Pallbearers are his grandchildren, Tracy Pittman, Cody Pittman, John Ross McCartney, Spencer McCartney, Kevin McCartney, Olivia Davis, and Brady Davis.
