Grace Guin

Grace L. Guin, 83, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at NMMC-Gilmore in Amory.  She was born on March 5, 1940, in Tuscumbia, AL to Tom Neal and Mary Nell Reaves Riner.  Grace grew up in Aberdeen and attended Aberdeen schools.  In 1955, she married the love of her life, Hubert Guin, and would spend the next 63 years as a devoted wife and homemaker.  Prior to her retirement, she worked in the area garment industry, and she was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Aberdeen.  An avid reader, she also enjoyed watching westerns and she adored her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen with Bro. Dennis Sullivan and Bro. Dennis Smithey officiating.  Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Neal Guin (Gaye) of Hatley, Tony Guin (Marie) of Hamilton, and Sam Copeland (Dana) of Greenwood Springs; her daughter, Tina Evans (Mike) of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Michael Evans (Ashton), Dylan Evans, Cassidy Guin, and Stephanie Minga (Nathan); great grandchildren, Taylor McCaine (James), Jace Evans, and Chase Ritter; and great great granddaughter, Ryleigh Jean McCaine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hubert Guin; one brother; and 5 sisters; and granddaughter, Hannah Rose Guin.

Pallbearers will be Chris Benson, James McCaine, Eric Langford, Brian Guin, Dylan Evans, and Nathan Minga.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 until the service hour.
