Gerardo “Jerry” Jimenez, 56, passed on February 20, 2022. He was born on July 18, 1965 in Laredo, TX to Leonelo Ramon Jimenez and Beatrice Rios Jimenez. He grew up in Hamilton, MS and was graduate of Hamilton High School Class of 1983. He was a life long resident of Monroe County. Jerry was raised in the Catholic Faith and would also visit Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church. Throughout his life he worked for Smith T.V., Jacobson Company, Cooper Tire and S&J Transports. He married Michelle Dodds in May of 2019. Jerry enjoyed singing karaoke and barbecuing. He loved his family and being around friends. Having a huge heart, he would offer a lending hand to anyone in need.
Jerry was survived by his wife Michelle Dodds Jimenez, Aberdeen; daughters, Olivia Lemmons, Las Cruces, NM and Amelia Jimenez, Nashville; step-daughter’s, Ashley Pannel (Kyle), New Albany and Lori Harris (Denton), Aberdeen; brothers, Alfonso Jimenez, Clute, TX, Juan Manuel “MeMe” (Ophelia), Laredo, TX, Isauro “YaYo” Jimenez, Angleton, TX, Fernando “Nando” Jimenez (Blanca), Clute, TX, Guiellermo “Willie” Jimenez (Mary Ann), Richwood, TX, Daniel Jimenez, Aberdeen, Gilberto “Bert” Jimenez, Ackerman; sisters Guadalupe Dunnaway, Clute, TX, Rebecca Jimenez (Martha), Laredo, TX; grandchildren, Sean, Mason, Blaine, Shannon; brother-in-law, Richard Vela, Clute, TX, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his mother and father; sister, Raqual Vela; brothers, Leonelo Jimenez Jr. and Luis Jimenez.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Jimenez, Guillermo “Willie” Jimenez, Fernando “Nando” Jimenez, Gilberto “Bert” Jimenez, Juan Manuel “MeMe” Jimenez, Isauro “YaYo” Jimenez.
Honorary Pallbearers are Cruz Jimenez, Guillermo “JJ” Jimenez, Alfonso “Puncho” Jimenez, Tony Easter, and employees of S&J Transport Service.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, February, 25, 2022 at 3 p.m. at Aberdeen First Pentecostal Church. Burial will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery in Aberdeen.
Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 5 until 7.
