Geraldine Smith Rowell, age 73, died Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo. She was born September 16, 1944 to Leon Smith and Pamelia Lewis Smith in Amory, MS. She lived the past 50 years in Aberdeen where she was a member of Grace Chapel Baptist Church. She worked as a seamstress 20 years, and as office manager for 20 years.
Services will be at 2:00 p. m., Sunday, June 24, 2018 in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes and Bro. Eric Keeton officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Mask (Ricky) of Okolona, MS, and Brenda Mixon of Aberdeen, MS: three sons, Billy Ray Rowell (Buddie Rose) of Aberdeen, MS, Mike Mixon of Woodstock, AL, and Phillip Rowell of Aberdeen, MS; two sisters, Glenda Honeycutt (Dale) of Aberdeen, MS, and Dorothy Reeves of Hamilton, MS; one brother, Tony Smith of Smithville, MS; special friends, Rene Hatcher, Mary Ann Tyra, and Louise Rowell; eighteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herston Rowell; one sister, Peggy Ivory; two brothers, James Smith and Larry Smith.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Reeves, Ricky Reeves, Jessie Reeves, Wayne Reeves, Dale Honeycutt, Jr., Stanley Ostrowski.
Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons.
