George Rubin Perkins

George Rubin Perkins, 91, died Saturday, September 26, 2020, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. He was born March 20, 1929, in Aberdeen to Arlie Lorinza Perkins, Sr. and Mary Ollie Bagwell Perkins. He had lived in Aberdeen for the past 53 years. Mr. Perkins was retired from Jacob Lee Construction Co. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Aberdeen and was a Gideon. There will be a Graveside Service Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at 1:00 P.M. at New Prospect Cemetery in Lackey, MS with Rev. Roy Lee Hamilton officiating. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Iva Lee Sandlin Perkins of Aberdeen, MS; two sons George Wayne Perkins (Martha Jane) of Louisville, MS and David Lee Perkins (Julie) of Alabama; one sister Mildred Pumphries (Rex) of West Point, MS; one brother Arlie Perkins (Sandra) of Aberdeen, MS; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Wilma Pounders and Marie Tate. Pallbearers will be W. C. Harris, Chad Perkins, Benjamin Hogue, Wayne Perkins, David Perkins, and Alton Sandlin. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2020, from 12:00 P.M. until 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.tisdalelannmemorial.com.
