Frederick Payne

Fredrick Cleveland Payne, 81, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice in Tupelo.  He was born on January 4, 1942 to Ovel and Iva Lee Medley Payne.  He lived most of his life in the Nettleton area and enjoyed working with his horses and cutting hay.  For many years, he worked as an electrician operating Payne’s Electric.  His biggest enjoyment was being with his family, and he was a member of Victory Baptist Church.  

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023 at New Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating.  Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton is in entrusted with the arrangements.  

He is survived by his wife Linda Laney Payne; one son, Marc Payne (Michelle); two grandchildren, Cody Payne (Brianna) and Katie Grace Payne; great grandson, Collier Payne; one brother, Robert Payne; and 2 sisters, Barbara Flood and Carylon Caldwell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, James Payne.

Pallbearers will be Cody Payne, Johnny Holland, Chad Caldwell, Richard Lewis, Gary Payne, and Michael Cody.

Visitation will be on Friday from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home.
