Frank Riley

Memory Frank Riley, 90, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo after an extended illness. A native and lifelong resident of Nettleton, he was born on November 18, 1928, in Itawamba County to Memory C. and Blanche Copeland Riley. He was a graduate of Nettleton High School, was employed by the railroad for three years, farmed for six years and owned a service station for thirty-two years. Frank was a member of the Nettleton First United Methodist Church for seventy-seven years and was on a number of committees. He was a member of the Nettleton Lions Club for fifty-eight years, was on a number of club committees and was a lion of the year five times. He enjoyed his cows, bailing hay, farming, and being with his family. In his younger years, he and his older brother hunted and rode good saddle horses. Survivors include two sons, Mem Riley of Nettleton and Tim Riley (Amy) of Plantersville; five grandchildren, Micheal Blaine Riley (Kathy), Brooke Williams (Jonathan), Neely Walker (Nathan), Alex Riley (Kacey), Molly Perkins (Nathaniel); eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; one sister-in-law, Doris Bryan of Nettleton; two brother-in-laws, Jerry Rakestraw (Linda) and James Allen Malone (Joyce), all of Nettleton; a special friend, Sara Earnest of Nettleton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gay Sisk Riley; his parents; three brothers, Clifton, Mayfield, & Reed Riley; three sisters-in-law, Faye, Winifred, & Pat Riley; one brother-in-law, Jim Bryan.
