Eli Schrock

Eli Samuel Schrock, 89, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Trinity Healthcare in Columbus.  Born on October 9, 1934 in Mobile, AL, he was a son to Samuel and Nancy Schrock.  He was a retired farmer and mechanic and the widower of Emma Lee Schrock.  In his early years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, watching auto racing, and riding his motorcycle.  

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Aberdeen with Rufus Schrock officiating.  Burial will be in the Mennonite Christian Cemetery.  

He is survived by three daughters, Marie Babb, Nora Fontenot (Aaron), and Norma Craig; 7 sons, Joe Schrock, Rudy Schrock, Burt Schrock (Sandy), Billy Schrock, Elmer Schrock, Mike Schrock (Daphne), and Chris Schrock; 19 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three brothers, P.S. Schrock, Arnold Schrock, and Rufus Schrock; and three sisters, Amelia Biggs, Elizabeth Mills, and Ruth Schrock Romanowski. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma Schrock; 2 sons, Alvin Schrock, Harold Schrock; 2 daughters, Suzanne Spruill, Sam Lawrimore; 1 great granddaughter, Tara Heath; 5 brothers, Isaiah Schrock, Johnny Schrock, James Schrock, Samuel Schrock, and Abraham Schrock; three sisters, Amanda Lee, Sarah Yoder, and Claudia Gonzales.  

Pallbearers will be Aaron Fontenot, John Spruill, Ricky Kimbrell, Aaron Alex Fontenot, Nathan Schrock, and Jordan Brown.  Honorary pallbearer will be Rudy Schrock.

Visitation will be on Monday from noon until the service hour at the funeral home.
