Edna Peterson

Edna Pearl Ballard Peterson, 88, passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.  She was born on January 6, 1935 in Aberdeen to Fank Logan and Annie Ellen Cleveland Ballard.  She attended Aberdeen Schools and she was a homemaker.  She later worked for Marriott Food Services and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, and flower gardening.  She had a great heart and always sought opportunities to help others.  She attended Friendship Baptist Church.

Private services will be held later.

She is survived by 3 sons, Daniel Peterson (Susan) of Lenexa, KS, Michael Peterson of Aberdeen, and Glenn Peterson (Kelli) of Mt. View, CA; two daughters, Cheryl Eggleston (Sam) of Highland, UT and Linda Connor of Ontario, CA; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Leo Ballard, Alvin Ballard, and Jessie Ballard; and by 3 sisters, Dot Bowers, Bobbie Wilkinson, and Louise Staten.
