Douglas Knight

Douglas Allen Knight, 73, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at his residence in Nettleton. He was born on June 29, 1951 in Sunflower County, MS to parents Burton W. Knight and Jewel (Faulkner) Knight. He lived most of his life in Lee County. He attended Bigbee Baptist Church. He was a retired upholsterer in the furniture industry. Douglas enjoyed working on cars and watching motor cross racing. He loved his family and he will be dearly missed.

Funeral service will be on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Nettleton. Burial will be in Gray's Cemetery.

Visitation will be prior to service from 1-2 pm at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sharyn Knight, one son, Douglas "Kevin" Knight, one brother, Ronald Knight and one sister, Mary Keller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Carolyn Wilbanks, Marilyn Rogers, two brothers, Bruce and Burtee Knight.
