Dorothy Lee Holley

Aberdeen- Dorothy "Dot" Lee Holley, 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at her residence in Aberdeen. She was born on July 5, 1947 in Hamilton, MS to the late Garfield and Gracie Woods Gosa. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Aberdeen.  She retired from the Amory Garment Company. Dot enjoyed bird watching and her beloved cats. Dot was very family oriented and she loved them dearly. She came from a very large family and not everyone lived close so she enjoyed calling them weekly. Her memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Dot is survived by one son, Lee Holley of Aberdeen; one daughter, Anna Duncan of Aberdeen; one brother, Garfield Gosa Jr., of Canton, TX; two sisters, Barbara Poss of Ocean Springs, MS; Mary Ann Gunnels of Springville, AZ, 3 grandchildren, Robbie Holley, Taylor Lee Duncan, Cody Glenn Williams, Steven Holley and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clifton Holley, one son, Jessie Holley, two brothers and six sisters.

A Memorial Service will be 10:00 am,  Friday, September 6, 2024 at Friendship Baptist Church in Aberdeen. All friends and family are invited to attend.
