Dennis Carter Bowen

Lackey - Dennis Carter Bowen, 66, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at his residence in Lackey.

He was one of three children born May 25, 1955 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to Phillip Lawson Bowen and Velma Lettice Gilding Bowen.
He lived most of his adult life in Monroe County, Mississippi.
Dennis dearly loved his family and leaves behind to cherish his memory, one brother, Stephen Bowen (Jere) of Amory, one sister, Karen Bowen Johnston (Richard) of Hamilton, two nephews, Brandon Bowen (Maren), Kristopher Bowen, two nieces, Katherine Johnston; and Karigan Bonner (Bryant).
He was preceded in death by his parents, one great nephew, Pruett Bowen and one great niece, Payton Bowen.
A grave side service and burial is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the family plot in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen, officiated by The Very Reverend Sandra DePriest.
Pallbearers will be Nolan Bowen, Greg Bowen, Daniel Loftin, Stephen Bowen, Richard Johnston and Brandon Bowen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Ransom and David Dabbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Everyone is asked to meet at Oddfellows Rest Cemetery at 10:50 AM on Saturday Morning. Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen is entrusted with the arrangements.
