David McCraw

David Curtiss McCraw, 72, passed away January 22, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. McCraw was born April 2, 1949 in Caledonia, MS to the late Lillie Mae Trimm. He retired from United Technologies (Maintenance) in 1998 when the plant shut down with 30 years of service. He came out of retirement and went to work with Bryan Foods until fully retiring in 2006. He was a very loving husband and father and worshiped the ground his grandchildren and great-grands walked on. He was preceded in death by his parents Lillie Mae Trimm, Cecil Anderson and Annie Lee Smith McCraw.

Visitation for Mr. McCraw will be Monday, January 24, 2022 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Tisdale Lann Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church in Aberdeen, MS with Bro. Rodger Collins officiating and Bro. Terry Benton. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie Hawkins McCraw, Hamilton,MS, father and mother in law, Bobby and Ann Hawkins, Hamilton,MS, two sons- Gary McCraw, New Hope, MS, Dustin (Whitney) Watson, Hamilton,MS, three daughters- Teresa (Scott) Stevenson, New Hope, MS, Nickie Nichols, Hamilton, MS, Kayla Watson (Brad), Hamilton, MS; three brothers- James Roland McCraw, Caledonia, MS, James Lee (Dusty) Trimm Jr., Caledonia, MS, James Paul (Jan) Trimm, Columbus, MS, six sisters- Dellie Ray Cantrell, Columbus, MS, Dorothy (Jimmy) Ledsworth, Columbus, MS, Thelma Whaley, Columbus, MS, Darlene (Mitch) Brewer, Caledonia, MS, Diane Moore, Columbus, MS, and Connie (Scot) Snider, Columbus, MS, grandchildren- Carley (John) Kemp, Andrew McCraw, Samantha McCraw, Madison Justice, Ryleigh Watson, Cooper Watson, Ainsley Nichols, Gabe McCraw, Jordyn Webb, Hayden Wilkerson, Brandon Wiles, Kaylee Wilkerson, Bubba Wilkerson, Kaiden Wilkerson, Bella Wilkerson, two great-grandchildren- Briggs and Tripp Kemp, a host of neices and nephews and two special friends Sara and Emma Katheryn Waldon.

Pallbearers will be Bo McCraw, Matt McCraw, John McCraw, Billy Snider, Blake Moore and Dale Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron West, Justin Harris, Jeff Adams, Jim Adams and Jason Forrester.

In leiu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to Tisdale Lann Funeral Home to help cover funeral expenses.
