Charles Pennington

Charles Larry Pennington, 75, passed away on Sunday August 27, 2023, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born in Itawamba County on May 30, 1948, to Charles Overton Pennington and Margie Faye Pennington. He was a lifelong resident of the Nettleton area and worked in the Furniture Industry. He was Methodist by faith and in his free time he enjoyed watching sports, most of all Ole Miss Football and the New York Yankees baseball teams.  

Funeral Services will be Wednesday August 30, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Tisdale-Lann Memorial in Nettleton with Bro. Eugene Conwill officiating. Burial will follow in Wiygul Cemetery.  

He is survived by his sons, James Pennington and Joshua Pennington; daughters, Amanda Garcia (Chris) and Crystal Pennington (James); 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Mike Pennington and Bobby Pennington (Nancy); sister, Barbara Miller, and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Liz McDaniel.  

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife, Janice Pennington.  

Pallbearers will be Brandon McDaniel, Reid Johnson, Ricky Seymore, Jody Johnson, Hunter Guin, and Johnathan Teer. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday August 29, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
